You will onboard Physicians and APPs, review clinician records, and resolve coding issues, while coordinating with CMOs and clinical informatics to improve documentation and reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Advanced revenue cycle training required.
• 4+ years of expert-level coding experience.
• AHIMA/AAPC certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD/CPT/HCPCS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver proactive coding education through newsletters, scorecards, and presentations.
• Lead onboarding and compliance training for Physicians/APPs and residents.
• Provide individualized documentation feedback and escalate issues.
• Serve as primary coding inquiries contact and resolve complex issues.
• Monitor Epic queues to ensure timely submissions and minimize denials.
• Collaborate across CMOs, Clinical Informatics, Risk Adjustment, Population Health.
• Participate in meetings and deliver targeted education to improve accuracy.
• Refine Epic templates, diagnoses lists, and SmartPhrases for efficiency.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Medicare/Medicaid/AHIMA standards.
• Promote ethical coding and continuous improvement for reimbursement.
