Job summary

Georgetown University seeks a Clinical Placement Manager to provide operational leadership for clinical education and placement activities across our pre-licensure and graduate programs. You will supervise a team of Clinical Placement Coordinators, oversee day-to-day operations, and cultivate partnerships with clinical sites to ensure timely, compliant, student-centered learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Education, or related field required.
• 5–7 years of experience in higher education, healthcare, or related clinical/academic operations.
• Experience in clinical placement coordination or academic-practice partnerships strongly preferred.
• Understanding of pre-licensure and graduate nursing clinical education requirements.
• Experience building and managing partnerships with clinical sites or healthcare organizations.
• Proven ability to supervise staff and manage operational workflows in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for clinical education and placement across pre-licensure and graduate programs.
• Oversee Clinical Placement Specialists and manage day-to-day placement operations.
• Cultivate clinical site partnerships to ensure timely, compliant, student-centered experiences.
• Implement workflows, performance standards, and accountability measures.
• Collaborate with academic leadership, faculty, and clinical partners to align placements with program requirements, regulatory standards, and priorities.
• Coordinate with Student Affairs, Compliance, and Academic Affairs to ensure student readiness and regulatory adherence.
• Support data tracking, reporting, and continuous process improvement.
• Remote work designation with occasional travel to clinical sites and events.
