Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a CDI professional to facilitate improvements in the quality and completeness of medical record documentation. The role involves admission reviews, DRG assignment, and extensive physician collaboration to obtain detailed documentation before discharge.

Qualified candidates should have a CDI background with certifications (CCDS/CDIP) and may hold RN or AHIMA/Reg Health Info credentials. Remote work options are available with a Flexible PRN schedule.

Responsibilities

• Improve accuracy and completeness of medical record documentation.
• Complete admission reviews and assign DRG.
• Collaborate with physicians to obtain detailed documentation.

• Maintain records of CDI activities and outcomes.
