Job summary

Workana is seeking a Clinical Data Scientist to lead digital twin development and apply AI/ML to simulate virtual patients and trial outcomes. You will work with physicians, biostatisticians, pharmacometricians, and data engineers in a fully remote setting with international teams.

Qualifications

• PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Pharmacometrics, CS or related field.
• Experience developing digital twins, virtual patients, or trial simulations.
• Strong ML, statistics, causal inference, or simulation skills in healthcare data.
• Advanced programming in Python or R with reproducible workflows.
• Clinical-development knowledge to frame quantitative research questions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, calibration, and validation of digital twins for patients and trials.
• Combine ML, statistics, causal inference, and mechanistic models for simulations.
• Collaborate with trial teams to evaluate design options and endpoints.
• Analyze multi-modal datasets including trials, biomarkers, real-world data, and omics.
• Build reproducible pipelines and analysis-ready datasets with data engineers.
• Ensure model quality, interpretability, and responsible use; define decision contexts.
