Job summary

Workana LLC is seeking an experienced Clinical Data Scientist to lead digital twin initiatives for simulated patients and trial designs. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate clinical questions into quantitative strategies, spanning disease progression, dosing, and endpoint selection.

This is a fully remote opportunity for professionals capable of collaborating with an international team in English.

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field (data science, statistics, biostatistics, etc.).
• Experience building digital twins, virtual patients, or trial simulations.
• Experience applying ML, statistics, causal inference to healthcare data.
• Proficient in Python or R and reproducible workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, calibration, and validation of digital twins for patients, disease progression, and trial outcomes.
• Combine machine learning, statistical modeling, causal inference, and mechanistic approaches to build computational models.
• Collaborate with trial teams to evaluate protocol design options, populations, endpoints, and dosing.
• Analyze and integrate multi-modal datasets (clinical trials, biomarkers, real-world data, imaging, omics).
• Work with data engineering to build reproducible pipelines and analysis-ready datasets.
• Coordinate with biostatisticians and pharmacometricians to align outputs with trial-design methods.
• Ensure model quality, interpretability, auditability, and responsible use with clear decision contexts.
