Advocate Health seeks a credentialed coding educator in the US. You will lead onboarding for physicians and APPs, review clinician records for accuracy, and resolve complex coding issues in collaboration with multiple departments. Epic expertise, strong communication, and a commitment to compliant documentation are essential.

Qualificações

• 4 years of expert-level professional coding experience.
• 2+ years with revenue cycle environments preferred.
• A track record of accurate and compliant coding practices.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver proactive coding education through newsletters, scorecards, and presentations on CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS.
• Lead onboarding and compliance training for physicians and APPs, ensuring documentation accuracy from start.
• Provide individualized documentation feedback and escalate non-coding issues as needed.
• Serve as primary coding inquiries contact and coordinate with teams on complex issues.
• Monitor Epic work queues to ensure timely charge submissions and reduce denials.
• Collaborate across CMOs, Clinical Informatics, Risk Adjustment for documentation improvements.
• Participate in specialty meetings to identify trends and educate accordingly.
• Refine Epic docs tools (templates, SmartPhrases) to boost efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid and AHIMA/AMA coding standards.
• Promote ethical coding and continuous improvement across clinicians.
