Job summary

The Affinity Group in New York is seeking a detail-oriented Inside Sales/Customer Service professional to provide continuous service to clients, process orders, and support sales initiatives.

You will enter orders into the Foodmark system, coordinate with distributors, and help resolve issues that affect shipments, while maintaining accurate documentation and responsive communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is a plus.
• Retail experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Represent Affinity Group in an ethical and professional manner.
• Provide favorable, continuous customer service and answer questions using the tools provided.
• Support all sales efforts and business development activities.
• Support Account Managers/Business Managers to maintain open communication between clients and customers.
• Enter all orders into the Foodmark system to track orders, volume, invoices, and commissions.
• Cross-reference invoices with orders and make corrections as needed.
• Update Foodmark with precise information.
• Maintain weekly communication with buyers at assigned distributors.
• Report on client market information to distributor buyers and AG account executives & Trade Administrator.
• Communicate market pricing and other relevant information to Management and coworkers.
• Utilize training tools to become more product knowledgeable.
• Assist AG Account Executives with issues affecting placement or shipment of orders.
• Respond promptly to information requests from management, clients, or customers.
• Follow client instructions to ensure the best possible outcome.
• Keep market knowledge by listening to clients and distributors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
