Job summary

Winston Taylor in New York is seeking a Client Pricing Specialist to implement and maintain client rates and fee arrangements. You will work with partners and departments to manage rate requests, perform financial analysis, and support annual pricing initiatives in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in accounting or finance, at least two years in legal billing or pricing, strong Excel skills, and experience with Aderant and Intapp.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum of two years of either legal billing, pricing, or financial reporting and analysis experience in a professional services environment required.
• This role is fully remote but must reside in a commutable distance to a firm office required.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to organize, analyze, and present financial data accurately required.
• Significant experience with Aderant Classic and/or Aderant Expert, including rate setup and maintenance.
• Experience with Intapp Intake.
• Experience with Litera Foundation Finance and/or Foundation Scoping (Clocktimizer).
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, and Teams.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Harvey, or similar generative AI tools, including basic prompting skills and the ability to responsibly evaluate and use AI-generated outputs to support research, analysis, reporting, and operational workflows.

Responsibilities

• Review and set up standard rates for new timekeepers in the Aderant system.
• Review and process Accounting Restrictions rate requests in Aderant per client fee arrangements.
• Review and approve fee arrangements for New Business Intake (NBI).
• Review, document and set up fee arrangements for newly opened clients and matters.
• Review and process ad hoc rate change requests through Billing, obtaining Finance Partner approvals.
• Set up and maintain budget tracking for Fixed Fee and Fee Cap matters.
• Review OCGs and Engagement Letters for financial terms and communicate findings to Conflicts and billing partners.
• Maintain database of client advance rate change notice requirements.
• Prepare and coordinate client advance rate change notices, especially during annual rate increase cycle.
• Coordinate annual review of Firm override rate arrangements and implement updates.
• Maintain accurate rates and fee arrangement documentation in Aderant.
• Collaborate with Client Pricing Analysts on rate and pricing matters.
• Monitor Pricing inbox and provide ad hoc reporting and support.
• Support Pricing and Finance special projects and priority initiatives.
