Job summary

Desjardins is seeking a Claims Technician to help process life and health insurance claims, promote occupational health and manage disabilities. You will act as a technical expert and provide discipline-specific support for your unit’s activities, initiatives and processes.

You will research and analyze processes, information management and data processing, drawing on sound decision-making to solve complex problems.

Qualifications

• General college diploma in a related field.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
• Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for projects and complex operational issues.
• Carry out specialized technical studies, research and analysis. Serve as resource person for the submission of solutions and action plans (diagnosis, intervention plan, treatment plan, return-to-work plan, disability monitoring, etc.).
• Roll out and maintain software and manual and automated processes. Train users.
• Prepare technical notes to enhance the skills and knowledge of users and their teams.
• Help practitioners follow your unit’s standards and processes and use its business solutions, tools and systems.
