Job summary

Sedgwick, a global leader in risk and claims management, is seeking a Claims Team Lead for Workers' Compensation to supervise multiple examiner teams and ensure high-quality adjudication. You will mentor staff, monitor workloads, and provide jurisdictional guidance to claims reports, while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role requires NV licensing awareness and eligibility for remote work in a national scope, with a starting pay range of $80k to $106k and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises multiple teams of examiners and technical staff for workers' compensation claims.
• Identifies trends and advises management on issues and improvements.
• Provides technical/jurisdictional direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication.
• Compiles reviews and analyzes management reports and takes action.
• Performs quality review on claims in compliance with audit and quality standards.
• Acts as second level of appeal for client and claimant issues; implements final disposition of the appeal.
• Reviews reserve amounts on high-cost claims and claims beyond examiner authority.
• Monitors third-party claims and litigated/sensitive claims as determined by client.
• Maintains client contact and promotes professional relationships; provides written resumes of claims as requested.
• Ensures direct reports are properly licensed in jurisdictions served.
• Ensures claims files are coded correctly and documentation is adequate.
• Performs other duties as assigned and supports quality programs.
