Job summary

West Bend is seeking a seasoned Claims Quality Assurance professional to ensure compliance and improve handling practices across casualty claims. The role balances attention to detail with strategic oversight, auditing results, and providing actionable feedback to leadership.

You will work with claims professionals to enhance consistency, share insights, and guide training. This position offers remote and hybrid options and opportunities for growth within a respected community insurer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• Insurance designations such as CPCU, AIC, or AINS are preferred.
• 7 years of claims handling experience including auto investigations, bodily injury, and general liability.
• 3 years of claims auditing experience.
• Experience with complex or large claim files.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Ability to explain complex claims concepts in a straightforward way.
• Strong communication and collaboration with Claims teams.

Responsibilities

• Review casualty claim files for quality, compliance, and adherence to best practices.
• Analyze audit results to identify trends and improvement areas.
• Manage the audit database and develop reporting to tell the results story.
• Share findings with Claims leadership in a clear, practical way.
• Serve as a casualty claims resource for Claims and Training teams.
• Provide guidance and calibration to improve audit process consistency.
• Offer technical guidance on low to moderate complexity issues.
• Build productive relationships across Claims and other areas of the organization.
• Take on targeted audits, special projects, and emerging quality questions.
