Job summary

Avesis, a leading provider of supplemental benefits in the United States, seeks a Manager of Claims to oversee Claims Supervisors, processing staff and claims technology initiatives. You will drive workflow improvements, ensure timely payments within contractual timeframes, mentor teams and report trends to the executive team while supporting audits and policy updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory or management experience.
• Minimum 3+ years' experience leading or participating in the development of claim enhancements.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Commercial insurance terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Claims Supervisors and staff, manage workflows and annual reviews.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of claims within contractual timeframes.
• Interview, hire and develop claims staff; set goals and monitor performance.
• Present data, trends and improvements to the executive team.
