Job summary

Counterpart is seeking a Claims Manager for Professional Liability (Dental) to lead investigations and manage claims in a remote U.S. environment. You will collaborate with carriers, brokers, and internal teams to drive timely resolutions and data-driven decisions.

The role requires 5+ years in claims, including 3+ years in dental professional liability, a JD or professional designations preferred, and the ability to obtain state licenses within 90 days. Travel ~10–15%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience with at least 3 years in litigating or managing dental professional liability claims.
• Bachelor's degree required; J.D. and professional designations (RPLU, AIC, etc.) highly preferred.
• Must possess all required state claim adjuster licenses, or be able to obtain them within 90 days of hire.
• Proven ability to work independently on complex matters and as part of a team.
• High initiative and leadership skills with strong time management and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Complete accurate and timely investigations into coverage, liability, and damages for each claim.
• Actively manage each claim to achieve timely and cost-effective resolution.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with policyholders, brokers, carrier partners, and Risk Engineers.
• Direct and monitor assignments to experts and outside counsel and ensure service standards are met.
• Support data collection and use the Counterpart claim system to capture critical details.
