Qualifications

• Experience investigating, evaluating, and resolving general liability and auto liability claims (≤140 chars).
• Ability to apply laws, regulations, and legal principles affecting liability and settlement.
• Proficient in managing electronic claim files, MS Office, and online research tools.

Responsibilities

• Investigate claims by interviewing involved parties and reviewing records.
• Conduct site inspections and document scenes when appropriate.
• Evaluate repair estimates, medical info, and other damages.
• Identify third-party liability and subrogation opportunities.
• Determine whether employees acted within scope of employment.
• Apply laws, defenses, and tort principles to liability and damages.
• Establish claim reserves within authority levels.
• Negotiate settlements or denials with claimants and attorneys.
• Monitor litigated claims and forecast expenses.
• Maintain RMIS data and ensure accurate claim files.
• Communicate analyses and recommendations to stakeholders.
