Valmont, a global leader in infrastructure and agriculture solutions, seeks a Civil Engineering Intern to join the North America Steel Design Engineering team. Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical engineering at an ABET-accredited program.
• Statics and Mechanics of Materials coursework completed.
• Proficient in CAD and capable of creating 3D models from drawings.
• Strong MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
• Coursework or experience in Structural Analysis, Steel Design, and Strength of Materials is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and analysis processes, proposing improvements to design criteria, analysis methods, and drafting procedures.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Service, Quality Assurance, and Engineering Services to understand the full product development process and assist in troubleshooting design challenges.
• Apply and expand your design knowledge while considering manufacturability and efficiency of final designs.
