Job summary

Jobot, based in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Structural Designer for OEM equipment to develop 3D models and fabrication drawings for skid frames, ducts and connections. You will coordinate with SCR reactors, baghouses and other equipment, applying thermal expansion and loading requirements under senior guidance.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in CAD/Engineering tech and 3+ years of industrial design experience, plus hands-on Autodesk Inventor proficiency for fabrication-ready drawings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD/Drafting, Engineering Technology or related field.
• 3+ years of industrial structural or mechanical design experience.
• Hands-on Autodesk Inventor experience creating 3D assemblies and fabrication-ready drawings.
• Experience designing or detailing heavy industrial equipment, structural steel frames, ductwork, or similar assemblies.
• Understanding of how structural members connect (beam-to-column/beam-to-beam).
• Ability to perform geometric and material-quantity calculations accurately.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models, fabrication drawings and material take-offs for heavy industrial equipment, structural supports and ducting systems.
• Design and detail hot exhaust and flue-gas ducting components, including casings, transitions and structural platework.
• Detail structural members and connections (beams, columns, braces, plates, welded or bolted joints).
• Develop drawings for customer review, procurement and fabrication.
• Coordinate layouts with equipment like SCR reactors, baghouses, ESPs and dampers.
• Incorporate mechanical loading, temperature and thermal expansion guidance from engineers.
