Job summary

OpenTrain AI, Inc. seeks experienced civil/structural professionals for a part-time contractor role focused on BIM authoring and AI-assisted evaluation of engineering designs.

You will work with Revit, ArchiCAD, or BlenderBIM on complex drawing sets, ensure code compliance, and validate IFC exports for project coordination. Ideal candidates have 5+ years post-degree experience, a relevant engineering or architecture degree, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering or architecture required.
• At least five years post-degree drawing set authoring and model development experience.
• BIM tools daily, expert-level authoring with Revit, ArchiCAD, or BlenderBIM.
• Experience exporting and validating IFC files with checks for geometry and mapping.
• Working knowledge of Eurocode, ACI, ASCE, IS, or BS standards.
• PE/CE/Chartered status or scripting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and refine plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and drawings.
• Author and manage BIM models for complex/multi-building projects.
• Apply relevant code families during design development.
• Export and validate IFC 2x3 or IFC4 files with integrity checks.
• Identify constructability concerns and recommend practical improvements.
• Assess BIM tools and data workflows and provide clear design feedback.
