Scion Staffing, Inc. in California is seeking two Civil Litigation Associate Attorneys for a primarily remote role with occasional in-person hearings in San Jose or Sacramento.

You will handle a varied civil docket, including personal injury, premises liability, construction, and business disputes, working with accomplished litigators from strategy through resolution. The ideal candidate holds an active California Bar license, has at least 3 years of civil litigation experience, and

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years civil litigation experience.
• Insurance-defense experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in personal injury, premises liability, construction, business or commercial litigation, professional negligence, transportation, products liability, or real estate-related litigation.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support a broad civil litigation caseload involving diverse matters.
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, written discovery, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Propound and respond to written discovery, coordinate document production, and meet deadlines.
• Take and defend depositions and assist with witness preparation.
• Conduct legal research and develop persuasive written analyses.
• Collaborate with clients, claims professionals, opposing counsel, experts, and internal teams.
• Contribute to thoughtful, efficient case strategy and client service in a primarily remote setting.
