Associates bill time and must meet a 1860-hour annual minimum, handling a broad mix of complex matters including bodily injury and defamation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree and active Indiana license.
• Experience in litigation with depositions and motions.
• Ability to manage time tracking and billing minimums.
• Familiarity with MSJ drafting and client communications.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze matters to provide competent legal representation.
• Draft documents for clients and route through procedures.
• Follows ethical requirements and firm policies.
• Perform legal research using approved resources.
• Advise and communicate with department head and clients.
• Organize tasks with competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Supervise legal assistants/paralegals and monitor time entries.
• Record time to meet billing requirements and prepare for hearings.
• Conduct negotiations, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
• Litigate cases in court, in person or remotely as needed.
