Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Associate Attorney for a 100% remote position based in New Mexico, joining a civil litigation practice handling commercial and insurance matters. The role includes participating in depositions, mediations, and trials, drafting pleadings and motions, and collaborating with the team to develop case strategies.

Applicants must be barred in AZ, UT or NM, hold a JD, and have a minimum of four years of attorney experience.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in at least one of the states listed (AZ, UT or NM).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience in civil litigation, including commercial and insurance matters.
• Experience in bodily/personal injury and wrongful death cases is preferred.
• Trial experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and assistance to clients in commercial and insurance litigation.
• Litigate complex bodily/personal injury and wrongful death matters.
• Participate in depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Draft, review, and revise pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies.
• Stay informed about current laws and regulations affecting clients.
• Maintain client relationships and explain legal options to clients.
• Construction defect cases may be assigned based on experience and interest.
