Placements24 is seeking a forward-thinking Civil Engineer for a fully remote role focused on sustainable infrastructure across South Africa. The role emphasizes environmental stewardship, renewable energy, water conservation, and resilient urban development.

You will design and deliver projects using cutting-edge digital tools in a remote, autonomous setting. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of civil engineering design experience with a strong emphasis on sustainability and holds PrEng

Qualifications

Master's degree in Civil Engineering with environmental/sustainable specialization.
PrEng registration with ECSA is mandatory.
8+ years in civil engineering design with a focus on sustainable/green infrastructure.
Proficiency in design software and environmental modeling tools.
Experience with LEED or Green Star certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design sustainable civil infrastructure projects focusing on environmental impact reduction.
Incorporate green engineering, circular economy, and climate resilience into designs.
Perform life cycle assessments and environmental impact analyses.
Collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary teams across disciplines.
Prepare technical docs, feasibility studies and project proposals highlighting sustainable features.
Stay updated on sustainable construction materials and best practices.
