Job summary

Blue View Builder seeks a licensed Civil Engineer to support planning, design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects. This fully remote-eligible role requires a CA PE license and familiarity with California codes.

Independent work style and teamwork with multidisciplinary groups are essential. The candidate should have a degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited, Master’s preferred), 3–5+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit or HEC-RAS.

Qualifications

• Active California PE license in Civil Engineering is required.
• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3–5+ years of civil engineering experience relevant to infrastructure.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, HEC-RAS or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of California design standards and permitting processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely with strong self-management and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil designs, calculations, drawings and specs for site development, transportation, water resources and utilities.
• Ensure compliance with California Building Standards and local agency requirements.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies and technical analyses.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, other engineers and regulatory agencies.
• Review and stamp/seal documents as required.
• Support project management tasks: scheduling, costing and client communications.
• Provide technical guidance and quality control on deliverables.
• Stay current with California regulations, codes and best practices.
