Placements24 seeks an experienced Child Protection Case Manager to join a remote-first team. You will manage cases, coordinate services, and advocate for children’s best interests while collaborating with families, schools, healthcare providers, and legal representatives across South Africa.

This fully remote role offers flexible scheduling and the use of technology to deliver essential services efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human services field.
• Current SACSSP registration or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in child protection, child welfare, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of child development, trauma-informed care, and child welfare legislation.
• Proficiency in using case management software and virtual communication tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of child protection cases, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop detailed case management plans.
• Coordinate services and collaborate with external agencies, schools, and healthcare providers.
• Provide support and guidance to foster families and biological families as appropriate.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for court proceedings and case reviews.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate electronic case files and documentation.
