Job summary

North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Child Care Consultant who will support regulatory functions remotely within assigned NC counties. Qualifications

• Master's degree in a discipline related to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the program area from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable per equivalency guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor licensed and unlicensed child care settings for compliance.
• Investigate reports alleging violations and document findings.
• Assist providers in understanding and achieving compliance with state regulations.
• Review facility operations and practices to verify health, safety, and program standards.
• Prepare regulatory documentation and reports using Word and Excel.
