State of North Carolina - Health & Human Services is seeking a Facility Compliance Consultant I (NS) to perform on-site inspections of adult care facilities and overnight respite programs, ensuring compliance with licensure rules. The role will involve analysis, report writing, and providing regulatory guidance to facilities and DSS staff.

Position is home-based in the Eastern Region with frequent travel across Nash, Wilson, Edgecombe, Wayne and surrounding counties; a fully remote work option

Qualifications

Active North Carolina LPN license or equivalent.
Experience applying rules, statutes, and standards in surveys or audits.
Strong written and oral communication with technical reporting ability.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site inspections of licensed adult care facilities and overnight respite programs to assess licensure compliance.
Analyze survey findings and document in legally defensible reports.
Provide regulatory oversight and technical assistance to facilities and county DSS staff.
Travel frequently within designated NC counties; may use state or personal vehicle with travel reimbursement.
