Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Chemical Process Engineer with a strong focus on safety to join our client’s team, working from anywhere in South Africa. The role centers on strengthening process safety, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance across multiple sites without on-site presence.

You will perform PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA), develop robust safety procedures, analyze incident data, and collaborate with site engineers and EHS teams via virtual channels.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant experience in process safety management (PSM) and risk assessment.
• Proficiency in HAZOP, What-If, and other safety analysis techniques.
• Strong understanding of chemical process design and operation, with a focus on safety critical elements.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and virtual communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct PHAs, including HAZOP and LOPA, remotely.
• Develop and implement robust safety procedures for chemical processes.
• Analyze incident reports and data to identify safety risks and mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with site engineers and EHS teams via virtual channels to ensure safety compliance.
