Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a detail-oriented Chargeback Analyst I - Temp for fully remote work. You will review and process cardholder dispute cases, research fraud and non-fraud claims, and ensure compliance with card networks and regulatory timeframes.

Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Prior payments experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED. Associates degree or related experience preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Minimum one year in payments preferred.
• General knowledge of card brand processing preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to present information clearly.
• Excellent reading comprehension and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review electronic documentation, identify and validate transaction details.
• Set up nonfraud dispute cases within the Velera processing platform.
• Process incoming fraud and non-fraud cardholder dispute cases and research claims.
• Mitigate loss while maintaining productivity and compliance with guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and quality standards in handling information.
