Job summary

MCHAP seeks a part-time Chaplain in Milford, DE to provide spiritual care and pastoral support to employees and their families. The chaplain visits worksites regularly, offers confidential counseling, and assists with funerals and grief support within a Christian-oriented ministry.

The role requires interfaith sensitivity, strong communication, and the ability to work with diverse groups under varying conditions. Remote field work and client-based assignments are expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in an interfaith setting and with diverse groups.
• Active listening and effective communication with clients and families.
• Ability to deliver community presentations and speak under stress.
• Demonstrated confidence in handling confidential issues with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Make regular visits to company worksites (weekly) to interact with employees.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions for personal issues.
• Assist in planning or attending funerals for employees or family members.
• Offer support for grief and difficult life events.
• Coordinate referrals for specialized assistance as needed.
• Support notifications of death and serious injuries to families and colleagues.
