Job summary

Mindrift.ai is seeking researchers to set up and run fluid simulations using CAD geometry, create verified reference solutions, and write Python checks to evaluate AI agent results.

The role is remote for 10-20 hours per week, requires CFD experience with OpenFOAM or ANSYS, and proficiency in Python and GitHub; PhD preferred and English at B2+. Apply CFD know-how to real-world tech projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related energy/oil & gas field.
• Several years of hands-on industry or research CFD experience.
• Experience with simulation verification and validation practices, including mesh-independence studies.
• Proficiency with Python and GitHub.
• English proficiency at B2 level or above.
• PhD in a relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run fluid simulations using CAD geometry.
• Create verified reference solutions for expert-level CFD tasks.
• Write Python checks to evaluate AI agent simulation results.
• Perform mesh-independence studies and validate simulations against experiments or benchmarks.
• Contribute high-quality deliverables consistently during active project phases.
