Job summary

Mindrift seeks a CFD-focused engineer to train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks. You will handle CAD geometry, run simulations, build verified references, and write Python checks for the agent’s results.

Required: mechanical or aerospace engineering degree (PhD preferred), CFD with OpenFOAM/ANSYS Fluent/CFX/STAR-CCM+, and strong Python/GitHub skills. This is a fully remote, project-based role with performance-based bonuses.

Qualifications

• CFD experience in industry or research projects.
• Hands-on CFD with OpenFOAM/ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+ including mesh generation.
• Solid verification and validation practices: mesh-independence studies and validation against experiments or benchmarks.
• Proficiency in Python and GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run simulations on expert-level fluid tasks.
• Train and evaluate AI agents against reference solutions.
• Build verified reference solutions and Python checks for results.
• Collaborate with remote teams on project delivery.
