Job summary

ICF is seeking an experienced Homeless Services: Coordinated Entry System Training and Instructional Design Specialist to develop and deliver high-quality CES training for partners and stakeholders. You will create instructor-led, virtual, online, and blended learning experiences aligned with CES policy and system functionality, working with CES leadership and subject matter experts.

Responsibilities include curriculum development, content translation, and engaging delivery methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, adult learning, training and development, human services, public administration, communications, social work, or a related field; an equivalent combination may be considered.
• Minimum two years directly related experience with Continuum of Care program and HUD Coordinated Entry programs.
• Experience preparing and delivering instructor-led, virtual, or online training for professional audiences.
• Experience developing curricula, lesson plans, presentations, eLearning content, tutorials, job aids, or other instructional materials.
• Knowledge of adult-learning principles, instructional-design practices, facilitation methods, and learner assessment.
• Strong public-speaking, presentation, facilitation, writing, interpersonal, organizational, and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Course and Content Development: collaborate with SMEs and CES users to identify training needs.
• Maintain current knowledge of CES policies, procedures, and HUD requirements affecting CES.
• Analyze gaps in learner knowledge and define competencies.
• Establish instructional goals and measurable learning objectives.
• Determine instructional approaches, delivery formats, and evaluation methods.
• Translate complex policy into clear instructional content and design graphics and storyboards.
• Review training content for accuracy, accessibility, and usability.
• Training Delivery: prepare and deliver instructor-led, virtual, and online training.
• Lead in-person sessions and live webinars for CES users and providers.
• Adapt delivery for varied roles and technical abilities; explain complex concepts clearly.
• Schedule trainings, manage enrollment, and coordinate logistics.
• Travel throughout the CoC geography as needed to deliver training and support CES partners.
