Optim is seeking a Certified Coder for a full-time remote position based in Savannah, GA. You will obtain dictations and charge slips, code according to payer guidelines, and ensure accurate posting of charges and demographics.

You will review E/M documentation, collaborate with physicians, and stay current with coding changes. This role requires precise credentialing, timely postings, and adherence to accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital coding with ICD-10 and CPT.
• Proficiency with posting charges and patient demographics.
• Familiarity with payor guidelines and coding accuracy.

Responsabilités

• Obtains hospital dictation and charge slips and codes per payor guidelines using ICD-10 and CPT.
• Verifies and updates patient demographics before posting charges.
• Codes and posts charges accurately with proper modifiers and pricing.
• Prints a daily schedule to ensure all cases are posted.
• Audits E/M documentation and updates codes after physician approval.
• Keeps up-to-date with state and federal coding changes and accreditation requirements.
• Maintains licensing and completes HealthStream courses.
