Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Coding Certificate program (AAPC accredited) preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional coding experience across multiple physician specialties required.
• One or more coding certifications required upon hire (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CPC, CCS).
• Experience in remote coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and codes medical record documentation for surgical specialties, ensuring accuracy and specificity in coding
• Audits orders and claims for completeness and accuracy to minimize claim denials
• Provides technical guidance to physicians and staff in resolving coding-related issues
