Job summary

Logan Health is seeking a Certified Professional Coder to join its remote coding team. The role involves assigning ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient records and ensuring accurate data capture for billing and reimbursement. A national coding certificate is required, with at least one year of coding experience.

The position offers a full-time remote schedule, with pay ranging from $26.25 to $35.50 per hour depending on experience. Residency in approved states is required, including Colorado.

Qualifications

• At least one year of professional coding experience.
• Nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA, CCS, CPC or AAPC) required.
• Excellent organizational and written communication skills and ability to work independently as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient records across various patient types.
• Abstract essential data elements for tracking, reporting, and reimbursement.
• Key data entry, billing and collections for assigned client databases.
• Coordinate with providers and hospital departments to ensure documentation supports services and compliance.
• Follow coding guidelines and regulatory requirements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
