Qualifications

• Certification such as CCS, CPC, or RHIT is required.
• Solid understanding of how data quality affects reimbursement across specialties.
• Experience with automated patient care and coding systems.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient services.
• Clarify documentation through a query process and ensure guideline compliance.
• Serve as SME and train less experienced team members.
