The role requires 3 years of HIM inpatient coding experience, CCS/RHIA/RHIT certification, and an associate degree in Health Information Management/Medical Records (Bachelor's preferred). You will mentor coders and ensure regulatory data accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in inpatient acute care coding under HIM.
• Certification CCS, RHIA or RHIT required.
• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management/Medical Records required (Bachelor's preferred).

Responsibilities

• Codes complex diseases, procedures, and diagnoses using ICD-10-CM/PCS classification systems.
• Queries providers for optimal documentation to demonstrate severity of illness and risk of mortality.
• Mentors and trains coders while ensuring data accuracy for regulatory agencies by resolving coding edits.
