Qualifications

• Must hold CPC certification (CPC or CPC-A).
• Must maintain CEUs for CPC certification.
• Must reside in Illinois and live within 50 miles of Carterville.

Responsibilities

• Completes coding and posting of charges for all provider specialties and payer types using physicians' notes and medical records.
• Codes and posts for all hospital visits and surgeries as directed.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of CMS, AMA, ADA and Medicaid coding rules and regulations.
• Conducts coding audits and provides feedback to clinicians for education and compliance.
