Job summary

Shawnee Health Services is seeking a Certified Professional Coder for our Shawnee Health remote billing office in Illinois. This role reports to the Assistant Revenue Cycle Manager and focuses on accurate coding and posting across provider specialties and hospital visits.

Requirements include CPC certification (CPC or CPC-A), CEUs maintenance, a High School Diploma, and residence within Illinois within 50 miles of Carterville. Starting hourly salary is $18–$19.10, with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder certification (CPC or CPC-A) is required.
• Must maintain CEUs for CPC certification.
• High School Diploma required.
• Must reside in Illinois and live within 50 miles of Carterville, IL.

Responsibilities

• Completes coding and posting of charges for all provider specialties and payer types.
• Completes coding and posting for all hospital-related visits and surgeries.
• Understands CMS, AMA, ADA and Medicaid coding rules and regulations.

Shawnee Health is seeking a Certified Professional Coder for our Shawnee Health Remote Billing office. This position reports directly to the Assistant Revenue Cycle Manager.

Responsibilities

• Completes coding and posting of charges for all provider specialties and payer types utilizing the patient encounter information as directed by physicians and medical records notes.
• Completes coding and posting for all hospital related visits and surgeries.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of coding rules and regulations by CMS, AMA, ADA and Medicaid.
• Conducts coding audits and reports feedback back to clinicians for educational and compliance purposes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Certified Professional Coder certification (CPC or CPC-A)
• Must maintain CEUs for CPC certification
• Must reside in Illinois
• Must live within a 50-mile radius of Carterville, Illinois

Starting salary - $18-$19.10

Full-time employee benefits include:
