Job summary

AMSURG seeks a Director of Operations to lead governance of Ambulatory Surgery Centers across multiple markets. Remote-centric hybrid work in the Philadelphia area, overseeing 10-12 ASCs and managing P&L with ASC partners and physicians.

The role drives growth, strategic planning, and operational excellence, partnering with VP/SVP and a network of center administrators to optimize performance and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or relevant field.
• Minimum five to seven (5-7) years of healthcare management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead across teams.
• Strong governance, strategy, and organizational leadership capabilities.
• Experience with P&L management and hospital/ASC operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop local growth strategies for the ASC network and organic growth opportunities.
• Oversee governance for Ambulatory Surgery Centers and lead board activities.
• Mentor Center Administrators and coordinate staff development programs.
• Manage P&L, budgets, and capital requests for assigned ASCs.
• Collaborate with VP, SVP, physicians, and cross-functional partners to drive volume and profitability.

Education

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or relevant field

Master's degree preferred
