AMSURG, based in San Diego, seeks a Director of Operations to lead governance and optimization of ambulatory surgery centers across the region. This role oversees 6–15 ASCs, drives growth, and manages P&L. Travel up to 60% is required, with an average around 40–60%.

The DOO will collaborate with VP/SVP, lead strategic initiatives, standardize staffing, and ensure operational excellence while improving patient experience and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with physicians and staff.
• Strong leadership, management, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with senior leaders and boards.
• Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision; multitask across projects.
• Experience in managing multi-site healthcare operations and driving growth.

Responsabilités

• Oversee governance of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) and manage P&L for multimarket operations.
• Develop growth strategies for the region and align with marketing and business development.
• Mentor Center Administrators and coordinate onboarding and leadership development.
• Collaborate with VP/SVP to drive volume growth, cost efficiency, and patient experience.
• Prepare and present board materials; ensure timely governance and KPI reporting.
