The role focuses on managing electronic refill requests, supporting patient care, and coordinating with providers and staff to ensure timely responses. The position emphasizes HIPAA compliance, patient-centered service, and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience in a pharmacy setting is required.
• CPhT certification required (PTCB or NHA).
• KY Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with physicians/clinicians/pharmacists and staff about patient medication concerns during calls.
• Manages patient medication assistance programs and prior authorization processes.
• Ensures all patient encounter information is complete and follows workflow protocols.
• Completes medication refills and PA requests accurately and timely.
• Distributes other patient requests promptly and professionally.
• Works as part of a team to ensure high-quality patient care.
