Qualifications

• RN License (BSN) or Medical Degree.
• 3+ years of clinical medicine, pathophysiology, and pharmacology experience.
• 3+ years of ICD-10 coding, coding conventions, and guidelines.
• Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records.

Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent and retrospective chart reviews to improve clinical documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare rules and CDI trends.
• Investigate coding issues using ICD-10 to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate with providers to obtain documentation and clarify diagnoses.
• Lead CDI initiatives and provide recommendations with rationale.
