Job summary

e4health is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Consultant in the United States to review patient records and ensure accurate documentation reflecting severity and complexity of illness. You will collaborate with providers and coders to educate and query when needed, adhere to CDI guidelines, and support healthcare clients nationwide with data quality and revenue cycle improvements.

Required RN license and 3+ years CDI experience; preferred CCDS/CDIP; the role offers full benefits

Qualifications

• 3+ years of clinical documentation experience.
• Current RN license.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate medical records.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to communicate with management and clients.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records for complete, accurate documentation.
• Initiate and complete queries to reflect data on inpatient or outpatient visits.
• Adhere to guidelines by ACDIS, AAPC, and AHIMA.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Understand DRG payer issues, audit risks, quality metrics, HCCs.
• Collaborate with client, team, and management to meet assignment needs.
