Cook Children’s is seeking a Certified Coding Specialist II for a fully remote role limited to Texas residents. The coder will apply ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding to ambulatory surgery and mixed E/M records, with emphasis on accuracy and adherence to Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.

The candidate must hold CCS or CPC certification with at least one year of relevant experience, and possess strong communication skills to collaborate with physicians and departments.

Formación

• CCS or CPC certification and 1 year minimum current coding experience in ICD-10-CM & CPT-4 ambulatory surgery and E/M.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and Medicare/Medicaid rules/guidelines.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Code ambulatory surgery and a mix of E/M records to the highest level of specificity.
• Communicate with physicians and other providers regarding documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure coding accuracy and up-to-date guidelines.
