Job summary

Sazerac Company is seeking an Associate Category Manager to turn data into strategic recommendations for Grocery and Military accounts. You will analyze shopper, retailer, and syndicated data to drive distribution, assortment, shelving, and category performance.

Work from a remote setting with residency in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Austin, or Houston, and up to 15% travel. You will build dashboards and collaborate with Sales and Category teams to deliver measurable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Analytics, or related field.
• 3+ years in Category Management, Shopper Insights, Retail Analytics, or Customer Strategy within CPG, beverage, or retail industries.
• Experience with syndicated data (Circana, Nielsen) and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau, with strong communication and data storytelling skills.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, remote environment with up to 10–15% travel.

Responsibilities

• Own the full process—from pulling and analyzing raw data to developing insights and recommendations that support Grocery and Military growth strategies.
• Identify opportunities across assortment, shelving, pricing, promotions, and merchandising using syndicated, shopper, retailer, and internal sales data.
• Build dashboards, business reviews, and analytical tools that equip Sales and Category teams with actionable insights for customer discussions.
• Monitor category performance, shopper trends, and competitive activity to uncover risks, opportunities, and emerging market trends.
• Partner closely with Category Managers and Sales to support customer strategies, category reviews, and execution across Grocery and Military accounts.
