Sazerac Company is seeking a Category Manager – Regional Grocery to drive distribution, shelf presence, and category performance through data-driven insights. You’ll partner with Sales and major retailers to turn data into actionable selling stories that influence in-store execution and growth.

Ideal candidates have extensive category management and shopper insights experience, plus proficiency with syndicated data tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Category Management, Shopper Insights, or related roles within CPG or beverage.
• Proven ability to turn retail and shopper data into clear, customer-facing recommendations that drive results.
• Experience with syndicated data and tools like Excel or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Own the full process—from pulling and analyzing raw, imperfect data to turning it into clear selling stories for retailers and Sales.
• Work directly with Sales and customers to ensure insights appear in conversations and translate to in-store execution.
• Identify and push the biggest growth opportunities across assortment, shelving, pricing, and promotions.
• Own and manage category captainships, delivering objective, category-first recommendations that drive growth.
• Support Category Management across Hy-Vee, Publix, SEG, Schnucks, Festival Foods, Food Lion, Giant Eagle, and ALDI.
• Build simple, high-impact tools and visuals that drive action, not just reporting.
• Stay close to the market and validate in-store to ensure strategies deliver real results.
