Job summary

LAC-Federal is looking for Cataloging/Metadata Librarians to work remotely with a focus on original and copy cataloging of government publications. You will perform cataloging tasks using RDA and MARC21 standards, and enhance historical records.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years of experience in cataloging and metadata.
• Strong skills in MARC 21 and classification schemas.

Responsibilities

• Perform original and copy cataloging of monographs and serials.
• Edit and enhance existing bibliographic records.
• Conduct research for new name authorities.
