Job summary

School Specialty is seeking a Catalog & Print Production Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of catalog and print marketing programs. You will manage end-to-end workflows for seasonal catalogs, partnering with internal teams and external vendors to ensure on-time, accurate delivery.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration across Marketing Operations, Merchandising, Creative Services, Product Management, Sales, and Operations, with a strong focus on process

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project management, print production, marketing operations, catalog production, or a related field.
• Experience coordinating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of seasonal catalog production schedules.
• Partner with print suppliers and internal stakeholders to establish timelines, milestones, and production deadlines.
• Coordinate activities across multiple departments to ensure catalog content, approvals, and files are delivered according to schedule.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and drive issue resolution to keep projects on track.
• Facilitate project meetings and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
• Support catalog fulfillment, inventory coordination, and distribution activities.
• Manage production of catalogs, brochures, flyers, direct mail, signage, trade show materials, and other printed marketing assets.
• Coordinate with print, mailing, and fulfillment partners to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Develop production specifications and manufacturing instructions.
• Review proofs and production materials to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
• Build strong vendor relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout production.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Leadership
• Partner with stakeholders across multiple business functions to align priorities and meet project objectives.
• Lead project discussions, coordinate deliverables, and facilitate issue resolution.
• Influence outcomes and drive accountability without direct supervisory responsibility.
• Serve as a trusted subject matter expert for catalog and print production initiatives.
