Job summary

Kiddom is seeking a highly organized Print Production Manager to oversee end-to-end production of K–12 print materials. You will manage schedules, vendors, cover creation, QA, NIMAC submissions, and print release while partnering with Content, Editorial, Product, Supply Chain, Customer Success, and Operations.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5+ years managing print production, publishing operations, or production project management.
• Experience coordinating multiple complex publishing projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of print production, prepress, QA, version control, and vendor management.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Experience using project management platforms such as Jira, Airtable, Smartsheet, Workfront, or similar.
• Experience improving operational processes through automation or technology.
• Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own Print Production: manage programs from content lock through printer release.
• Build and maintain production schedules, milestones, and release plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and printers.
• Ensure editions and print packages are delivered to the supply team on schedule.
• Identify production risks and drive resolution.
• Own Process Excellence: ensure QA and errata processes are executed.
• Manage file versioning, approvals, and release readiness.
• Coordinate cover production from request to approval.
• Manage NIMAC submissions and compliance.
• Track print issues and coordinate corrections through workflows.
• Maintain production dashboards and reporting.
• Improve the System: identify opportunities to automate tasks.
• Partner with Product/Engineering to improve tools/workflows.
• Leverage AI/automation to improve QA and metadata validation.
• Reduce manual work through better systems.
• Recommend scalable solutions for speed, quality, visibility.
