Job summary

Centinela Hospital Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Case Manager to coordinate utilization management, social services, and discharge planning. The role supports referrals, authorizations, and chart handling for MEDICAL appeals.

Responsibilities include maintaining Medi-Cal records, assisting with TAR processes, and generating reports for the utilization committee. Per Diem, daytime shifts, remote work options may apply in this setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Utilization Management / Case Management terminology and functions.
• Experience with Windows, Word and Excel, and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of the Case Management Department including utilization management, social services and discharge planning.
• Assist with case management referrals, authorizations and discharge planning.
• Maintain Medi-Cal (TARS) for presentation to on-site reviewer and file them accordingly.
• Copy and sending charts for MEDICAL appeals.
• Work closely with the business office in completing the retrospective TAR and maintain the DNFB log.
• Assist in compiling reports and statistical data for the utilization committee and weekly utilization meetings.
